Nights are drawn from your own shares, first come, first served within your booking window. High-demand dates such as cherry blossom and autumn foliage can fill early; holdings of thirty or more shares receive the longer twelve-month window. Cancellations made at least fourteen days before arrival are free and restore the nights. The house opens for stays in June 2027.

    Every share is real ownership.

A share is a permanent co-ownership stake in this house, issued once and held for as long as you like. It is not a membership that renews and not a booking that expires. kessaku runs the house entirely for you: cleaning, utilities, maintenance and insurance, with a reserve maintained from operations for future repairs, and the property-level accounting, licensing and filings handled on your behalf.

    1960

    Standing since 1960.

    1. 1960Believed to date from the 1960s, the house reflects a quieter, more intimate side of Tokyo. Its original occupants are unknown, but its modest scale recalls a time when homes and small workshops stood side by side in Higashi-Mukojima. Beyond these neighbourhood streets, Japan was looking towards the future. Architecture, technology and design were entering an era of bold experimentation. That contrast became the inspiration for Futura House: an ordinary Tokyo home from an extraordinary period of imagination.
    2. 2026The house is being reimagined as Futura House, Showa Vintage Tokyo, drawing on the playful optimism of Japan's space-age design era. Glass blocks, sculptural furniture and a striking red alcove give the home a new identity, while exposed timber beams preserve a visible connection to its past. Rather than recreate the 1960s, the design brings the spirit of the era into contemporary life. A distinctive Tokyo home, thoughtfully reimagined for a new generation of owners.
